What it is

Acne symptoms can range from mild and sporadic, to severe and seemingly constant. What can start as a small, hormonal blemish on your chin may quickly become an all-over breakout. Most symptoms of acne will involve one to several inflamed blemishes on the face, but they can also occur on the neck, chest and back. Clogged pores, imbalance in hydration, overproduction of oil, flushed skin, and sensitivity are among the other symptoms associated with acne.

How it helps

A large contributor to acne is hormones. An imbalance of estrogen or testosterone, or an over production of the androgen hormone in the system can lead to acne. Diet, life stressors, improperly cleansing the face, and blood chemistry also play role in the formation of acne. At Mad Peaches, a professional skin care specialist will prescribe the right treatment and medical grade products for your particular care.

What to expect

Treating acne is more than buying the newest advertised acne product. It’s more than a prescription. It’s the science of nutrition and the interplay of other factors: hormones, food choices and stress. At Mad Peaches Med Spa, we holistically treat acne challenges. By understanding the science behind acne, we discuss diet and lifestyle choices, vitamins and supplements, and medications with the client. We utilize the most advanced therapy break-throughs for treating break-outs. Medical-grade chemical peels clean out pores and heal breakouts. Broadband Light Therapy supports the skin in fighting bacteria and inflammation, and Micro-needling or Collagen Induction Therapy (CTI) creates micro-injuries that builds stronger skin, resurfacing it with new production of collagen.

There isn’t just one treatment which works for everyone, so Mad Peaches Med Spa has a range of options best fit for your specific needs. We understand that people suffering from acne want a solution now. We will help you understand your acne; we will find a solution that works for you.

SkinMedica

Recommended for cleaning out clogged pores and helping heal blemishes, Skin Medica also assists with lightening the skin from facial scarring. It may cause over-drying of skin, so a series of only 1-3 chemical peels are recommended as not to disrupt the natural balance of moisture within the skin, which may cause more breakouts!

Micro-needling or Collagen Induction Therapy (CTI)

A popular service offered at Mad Peaches, Micro-needling with the Eclipse Micropen is amazing for minimizing pores, refining the texture of the skin and lightening  pigmentation as a result of acne scarring. Twelve tiny needles create pin-point punctures in the skin, causing the skin to create small micro-injuries below the surface, speeding up the process of healing and extra collagen production. Once more collagen is brought to the skin, the skin heals faster with a smoother, more glowing complexion. A series of 3-6 treatments is recommended and is good for any skin type.

Broadband Light Therapy (BBL)

Broad Band Light Therapy is the widely used and a very effective treatment for acne. BBL pulses a specific radiotherapy light on the skin, helping to reduce bacteria on the surface and within the first layers of the epidermis. It lightens pigmentation caused by acne and inflammation of blemishes. It is an optimal therapy to treat current acne and breakouts, while preventing new acne from forming.

 RadioFrequency
A new add-on treatment to any of our following services; uses radio frequency technology to heat the skin to a certain temperature, which in turn can aide in the killing of bacteria and help to heal blemishes. Great to pair with the Acne BBL and can be used anywhere on the body for treatment of acne on back, chest, etc.
