Broadband Light Therapy
One of our preferred treatments for brown spots is Broadband Light (BBL) therapy, a laser that restructures the skin of the hands on a molecular level, restoring the skin by destroying the cells that produce melanin. BBL works by removing the source of the hyper pigmentation. It evens the complexion and introduces heat into the skin, increasing the production of collagen. With minimal to no downtime, you can expect mild redness and a darkening of pigmentation the day of the treatment. Once the micro crust or pigmentation sloughs off, your hands will appear more even and glow.
Chemical Peels or Microdermabrasion
Chemical peels or microdermabrasion may also be used to treat brown spots. These procedures sand or burn off the outer layers of the skin so new skin can grow in its place.
